Global Gap Certificate and HACCP Audit
Merchants producing fresh agricultural products within European Union can require customers and manufacturers to present the compliance according to Global GAP (formerly EurepGAP) standard and which becomes a norm of international trade for all agricultural products. The certification is done by an external audit body accredited to Global GAP requirements.
EUREP" was the name of an association from the private sector belonging to important retailers, importers and suppliers which was launched in 1999. In September 2007, the consortium changes its name to "Global GAP". The term comes from and represents GAP good agricultural practices.
